Accessibility Guidance
We provide advice and guidance on addressing accessibility barriers, whether in the home or the community. Our goal is to help individuals identify and offers solutions to make their environments more accessible and inclusive.
Advocacy
Life and Independence for Today (LIFT) offers advocacy support to individuals with disabilities while also empowering them with the tools and knowledge to become their own best advocates. We believe that everyone deserves a voice in decisions that impact their lives.
Assistive Technology
Through our assistive technology (AT) programs, we offer demonstrations, trainings, and access to a variety of devices that enhance independence. We provide AT devices (if available) on temporary loans and assist individuals in obtaining the technology they need to live more independently.
Disability Awareness & Sensitivity Training
We offer tailored disability awareness programs, including simulations and sensitivity training, to help raise understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. These programs promote greater inclusion and empathy in the community.
Independent Living Skills
Life and Independence for Today (LIFT) works with individuals on chosen goals, such as budgeting, transportation, employment, housekeeping, and etc. Our staff helps consumers achieve personal goals and live more self-reliantly.
Information & Referral
Our team provides information about a variety of disability-related services and makes referrals to appropriate agencies that can assist with specific needs.





Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring connects individuals with disabilities to others who have shared experiences. Through this supportive relationship, we encourage empowerment, guidance, and a sense of community.
Portable Ramp Program
We offer a temporary loan of portable ramps, providing a quick solution for individuals who need better accessibility while they work on obtaining a permanent ramp.
Reused Equipment Program
Accept gently used equipment, such as: wheelchairs, walkers, shower benches, etc. and re-distribute the equipment to individuals in need.
